Dr. Nia
Dr. Ali Nia has been in practice for over 30 years and has extensive training in dentistry. He tailors your dental care to suit your individual dental needs and takes the time to ensure each patient receives the best dental care available. If you are a new patient, Dr. Nia will meet with you to learn more about your health and dental history and your dental health goals. Together, you will develop a plan to achieve a smile that is beautiful and healthy. This is followed up with resourceful and attentive preventive dental care.
Dr. Nia is a devoted and compassionate dental professional whose passion for excellence is reflected in his meticulous and gentle dental care. He truly is committed to his patients and their comfort and ensures they receive high-quality, long-lasting dental care.
Dr. Nia is an active member of the American Dental Association and Central Arizona Dental Society.
Ryan Nia, DMD
Originally from Scottsdale, Arizona, Dr. Ryan Nia is proud to serve his local community with a patient-first approach to comprehensive dental care. He specializes in general and operative dentistry, offering everything from routine checkups to advanced restorative procedures with precision and compassion.
Dr. Nia earned his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Arizona State University, where he developed a deep understanding of patient care and communication. He went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine – Arizona, where he honed his clinical skills and passion for modern, evidence-based dentistry.
Outside the office, Dr. Nia enjoys exploring Arizona’s scenic trails, catching a Phoenix Suns game and staying active in local volunteer efforts. He is also an avid car enthusiast and loves spending time in nature.
Dr. Nia believes that great dental care starts with listening and building trust. He is dedicated to helping patients feel comfortable and confident in their oral health.

Johanna welcomes each patient with a smile and friendly hello! She is cross trained in the dental field, is a certified dental assistant from the Bryman School, and has attended dental billing and insurance seminars. Johanna helps our patients maximize their benefits, obtain health care financing for dental treatment, and file insurance claims. Her main focus is on patients’ care and satisfaction in addition to everyday operations of the practice. She love to spend time shopping and trying out gourmet restaurants with her daughter.
Shelly started working at Dentists 'R Us right out of high school in May of 2000. She worked through college filing charts, assisting, and coordinating front desk duties. She graduated in dental hygiene from Rio Salado in May of 2004 and has been practicing with our office ever since. Shelly is head of our hygiene department and is very passionate about dental hygiene care. While she maintains a professional relationship with patients, she cares deeply about each individual and tries hard to establish specific optimal care for each patient. She always has a smile on her face and loves her profession.Shelly is a mother of four and is involved with her local church, volunteering her time with the youth and the cub scouting program. She enjoys staying active, especially running, and has even competed in local events, such as Ragnar and the Phoenix Marathon.
Jo Ann is a certified dental assistant and graduated from Apollo College. She has experience in orthodontics, endodontics, and general dentistry. Jo Ann is our head assistant, and has worked for Dr. Nia since 1998. She works hard to make the patients feel comfortable and at ease, but, be wary–her wild sense of humor will catch you by surprise! Sterilization and cleanliness are high on her priority list. She also prides herself on great performance and excellent dentistry. Jo Ann confidently states that she will only work where she can bring her family and friends.
Lia has been a dental assistant for 30 years, since 1993! She spent four years in the Air Force as a fuel systems mechanic on the F-15 C/D Fighter Jet. Lia makes sure the schedule runs smoothly and is dedicated to our patients and making sure they get the best care and wonderful experience. Outside of work, Lia likes to hike, ride on the back of motorcycles with her American Legion family, go on road trips and play Candy Crush.
Kasey is a registered dental assistant. She graduated from Bryman College in 1998. She makes it a top priority to make sure and keep patients comfortable through all dental appointments. She will hold your hand if you would like. In her down time she enjoys painting and taking her dog to the park!
Rose is originally from Illinois and has been in Arizona since 1998. She has been in the accounting field for over 30 years after gaining her education from Harper College and working for accounting firms. She has been with Dr. Nia and his staff since 2009 and couldn’t ask for a better group of people to work with. In her spare time, she enjoys sporting events and spending time with her family.
